In addition to its experiential classroom programs, Junior Achievement offers a variety of free resources that provide opportunities for students, parents and educators to gain knowledge and engage in important conversations and activities about money management, college preparation and career exploration.
Maryland 529 Save4College State Contribution Program
Have you started saving for your child's college fund? Open a Maryland College Investment Plan and you may be eligible to receive a $250 contribution (ends 6/1/17) through Maryland529, formerly College Savings Plans of Maryland Save4College State Contribution Program. This program is designed to help families in Maryland save money for higher education.
JA My Way
This interactive web site helps teens find out more about the careers that are best for them, learn about saving and budgeting, and find out how they can start their own businesses. The site includes personality tests, interactive online games, assessment tools and educational resources to provide teens with helpful information in a fun and engaging way. JA My Way is supported by a grant from the Citi Foundation and empowered by volunteers from OneMain Financial.
Money Confident Kids
A partnership of JA and T. Rowe Price, this portal provides free resources for students, parents and educators. It also features Star Banks Adventure, an exciting online game and app for kids ages 9-14. (Please note, the game requires Internet Explorer 11, Google Chrome 25+, Mozilla Firefox 25+ or Safari 8+. To play on a mobile device or tablet, you must download the app.)
The Money Jar
A biweekly audio podcast about Kids, Families and Money that aims to demystify the common challenges all families face while trying to educate their children on the economics of life.
JA Build Your Future
An app that allows teens and their parents to explore career goals and gain and understanding of the level and cost of education required to achieve them.
