There are many ways you can become involved with Junior Achievement of Central Maryland: by pledging your financial support, donating items or services, or volunteering your time and expertise. Contributions from companies, individuals, foundations, and service organizations provide the funds necessary to deliver our programs to the children of Central Maryland. Here’s how you can make a difference.
Businesses, foundations and individuals can support JA school programs on many different levels—from sponsoring a classroom or school, hosting a JA Job Shadow, or providing broader support for a county- wide effort or expansion project.
JA offers a variety of sponsorship packages for its JA Jams benefit concert, bowl-a-thon, and leadership seminar series. Sponsorships include tickets for the event, as well as branding and promotional opportunities.
Donations of items or services that support special events—such as photography, decorations, beverages, giveaways, or auction items—are always welcome and needed. In addition, you may also donate items or services for JA to use in its daily office operations or program delivery. There are many staples that we need every day, like bottled water, paper, printing and more.
Through its signature Capstone programs, JA BizTown and JA Finance Park Virtual, JA of Central Maryland offers organizations unique branding opportunities for physical and virtual storefronts that are viewed and used by thousands of students, parents and volunteers each year. Additional recognition for Capstone sponsors includes volunteer opportunities, as well as recognition in JA’s annual report, e- newsletter, website, and various social media outlets.
Our more than 3,000 annual volunteers are one of the primary reasons why JA works! Whether they are leading lessons in the classroom, participating on a career panel, or supervising a JA BizTown shop, our parent and corporate volunteers give students a real-world perspective on how to shape a successful path for the future.
