JA Office Warriors
The first-ever JA Office Warriors event delivered a wacky and exciting event for 16 corporate teams all vying for the golden shredder and title of 2016 JA Office Warriors. In its inaugural year, the event raised roughly $30,000 all to benefit students’ participation in JA’s quality programming that helps prepare the next generation to be warriors in their own future career.
While showing off their workplace skills, participants networked and built team comradery while competing for the golden shredder in 8 head-to-head activities such as Water Cooler Bowling, Desk Chair Rowing, and Sweep Hockey and one final culminating event, Coffee Mug Relay Races, at Merritt’s Downtown Athletic Club.
Ultimately, Team Comcast took home the golden shredder and bragging rights as the 2016 JA Office Warrior. The silver went to Robert Half and bronze winner was KPMG. Special thanks to gold sponsor Rudolph’s Office and Computer Supply, who supplied all the office equipment for the event, bronze sponsor KPMG, host sponsor Downtown Merritt Athletic Club and team sponsors, who all made the night a success!
Participating in JA Office Warriors offers a low-cost way to engage and retain employees by boosting morale and encouraging camaraderie. The games sparked friendly competition with other corporations and provided an opportunity for senior-level leaders to interact with new hires, bring together various departments, improve internal relations and communication, and promote a strong corporate culture that attracts and retains top talent.
